The focus of this clinic is to re-look at HOW you run, your technique, stride and efficiency. By learning the correct way in which to move, you CAN and WILL avoid injury, enjoy running, get faster and have it be apart of your life for many years. These classes will re-teach the fundamental principals by taking you through a series of progressive drills. We will not be running huge distances during these classes. You will be introduced to the BAREFOOT method as the clinic will focus on eliminating the heel strike from your form and implementing a midfoot/forefoot stride.
Runners of ALL levels can benefit from participating in this clinic, from the first time 5km runner to the seasoned marathoner. Learn to run safely and properly and get 2011 off on the right foot.
Have you suffered from plantar fascitis? Achilles issues? ITB pain or shin splints? These classes will change the way in which you view running as you gain an understanding of how to run properly.
Are you wanting to get faster this year? Set a new personal best or tackle a new race? Wonder why despite running many miles week after week, you are stuck in a rut? Chances are that your running technique is holding you back from efficient and effective running.
Are you new to running or looking to make it apart of your everyday routine? By developing the fundamentals of running right from the start, you can. Very few people can actually explain and teach the difference between "running" and "running with technique and proper form." After learning and applying your new found knowledge you will be a transformed runner!
NOTE: this clinic is open to both members and non CBC members!!!
All classes taught by professional athlete and coach, Jen Segger.
